The hand of peace and love--

A hand of hard-earned peace and love on Memorial Day.

  1. Your brief lines reminds me of this on Memorial Day: There are at least two sides to every story. Those who kill others, and those who are killed have sometimes different but sometimes similar perspectives about how and why it all happened; if we champion one side but dismiss the other, perhaps we do so foolishly.

    1. Yes, both "peace" and "hard-earned," both one side and another.... Many opposites joined. And in some cases more clarity than others...

I am off! Ferrywoman on the road...

    1. Thanks. Just home from picking up my daughter. Ferrywoman day, including being first on the scene of a terrible bike accident. Whew. What a day.

  3. Whoa! Here is an example of the kind of spam-trash emailed comment that I have been talking about in the past. How does it make its way through your site to my email inbox? I guess I should not sign up for notifications of comments from sites. Well, I cut-and-paste it here for whatever it might be worth:

    1. RT,
I only see those things in the SPAM folder, and I just delete them. I guess comment notification can automatically send anything that comes in to your email. But on my end I don't even read them--I just look at the end of the comment to see if there is a link (just in case it might be legitimate) and then I delete.

Alas, I must once again remind large numbers of Chinese salesmen and other worldwide peddlers that if they fall into the Gulf of Spam, they will be eaten by roaming Balrogs. The rest of you, lovers of grace, poetry, and horses (nod to Yeats--you do not have to be fond of horses), feel free to leave fascinating missives and curious arguments.
