  1. ,,,, and would that be a white camelia? If so - well done.

This looks prestigious and wonderful, Marly. Prestigious and yet still friendly. Rebecca's cut looks chic too.

Really glad you posted these because it gives us all a feel for what it must have been like - so thank you!

    And of course.... bravo!

  3. Hi Paul and Marja-Leena,

I'm afraid they were not thinking of me at all--those are rusty and cream and orange orchids with white ribbons, which they had a dickens of a time fastening onto slithery fabrics.

Not the greatest pics in the world, but they give you an idea.

  5. Robbi,

Don't rub it in; I'll catch up soon.

Yes, I am a Thanksgiving baby (not turkey) this year. My children and I are all holiday-seeking, it seems. No. 3 = Memorial Day. No. 2 = Columbus Day. No. 1 is not on a holiday, but "Marlene" and "Marly" are diminutives of "Mary Magdalene," and her saint's day is . . . his birthday. Meanwhile my mother's birthday is St. Patrick's Day. I guess it's a maternal line tendency!

Alas, I must once again remind large numbers of Chinese salesmen and other worldwide peddlers that if they fall into the Gulf of Spam, they will be eaten by roaming Balrogs. The rest of you, lovers of grace, poetry, and horses (nod to Yeats--you do not have to be fond of horses), feel free to leave fascinating missives and curious arguments.
