Glimmerglass, the postcard--

Mercer sends me a present.
Postcard in the making, complete with one little error...
Metaphysical gold star if you find it!
Perfection still to come...

  1. Ooh, I found it! Save me a star. (And thanks for the practice before I actually get to work today.)

    1. No doubt it is glittering on your brow in proper Romantic style, Ms. Julie the editor...

    2. Though it may make you throw those peculiar effusions from the sciences out the window and scribble poems all day!

  2. Today I'll be reading about culturing for diagnosis of infection with Bartonella species. "Bartonella" sounds vaguely romantic, right?

    1. Perhaps you could manage to work on Bartonella in Barcelona. Then I am sure you could be especially romantic.

  3. I found it! Do I tell? Stars always welcome :-)

    Lovely postcard, a keeper.

    1. Yes, just imagine your head topped with a discrete gold crown with large sparkly star!

  4. Found the error—but how nice that your publisher has designed a postcard! Some people who've published with the Big Five can't say the same.

    1. That's very true... I had four hardcover first editions with FSG, and I had one postcard, and certainly not 1K copies.

Alas, I must once again remind large numbers of Chinese salesmen and other worldwide peddlers that if they fall into the Gulf of Spam, they will be eaten by roaming Balrogs. The rest of you, lovers of grace, poetry, and horses (nod to Yeats--you do not have to be fond of horses), feel free to leave fascinating missives and curious arguments.
