    1. And to Mercer for allowing us to have this kind of freedom and choice... It's rare.

    1. Hi Marja-Leena,

I haven't stopped by to see what you're doing because I'm maniacally busy--reading manuscripts etc. to get ready for the Antioch workshops week in Ohio. Am visiting a painter and composer/videographer on the way. Will come by again when things slow down.

  4. No worries, Marly, for I know how very busy you are! Hope family is doing well so you may have a light heart while away. Looking forward to hearing all about your upcoming days.

  5. What a weird—by which I mean lovely—dust jacket. Good for Mercer for letting you and Clive have fun with the design.

    1. Yes, it is one of the things I value about them--it never would have happened at FSG or other publishers. Weird and lovely is good!

Alas, I must once again remind large numbers of Chinese salesmen and other worldwide peddlers that if they fall into the Gulf of Spam, they will be eaten by roaming Balrogs. The rest of you, lovers of grace, poetry, and horses (nod to Yeats--you do not have to be fond of horses), feel free to leave fascinating missives and curious arguments.
