Marly at "Lucid Rhythms"

Realized that I posted this on facebook/twitter but not here... Two poems from my frolics and wanderings in Sherwood: http://www.lucidrhythms.com/December-2009/Youmans_Marly.htm

  1. Mmmm, evocative images, Marly. Reminds me a little of Val/Orson - the trees, the mingling of nature and humanity and the sense of mysterious persecution.

  2. Lovely Marly. I especially like the first. Very vivid. Shades of the romantics!

  3. Clare,

I seem to be often treebound in my imagination...

    Robbi,

    Shades, yes!

  5. Robert,

I am so glad to see your name! I hope that 2010 is kind to you, and that you put out some green growth...

There are some more if you slide down the page. Online I've had several recently at "The Flea" and have some forthcoming at "Mezzo Cammin."

My eldest has to get to the airport today, but I'll pop by and see what the studio has to offer soon.

  6. I'm so glad to see you are going on with the work! Now that I've moved my parents, it's time for me to begin writing again. But school is starting today! It's always something, isn't it?

Alas, I must once again remind large numbers of Chinese salesmen and other worldwide peddlers that if they fall into the Gulf of Spam, they will be eaten by roaming Balrogs. The rest of you, lovers of grace, poetry, and horses (nod to Yeats--you do not have to be fond of horses), feel free to leave fascinating missives and curious arguments.
