Transformation bookshops

http://www.miragebookmark.ch/most-interesting-bookstores.htm

Point no. 1: Now I may waste one of my precious wishes by wanting to go to Portugal and Brazil for the afternoon. Point no. 2: Note that the Borderlands Sphynx cat reveals a map to a labyrinth on its forehead (Photograph by massdistraction Flickr.com.) Point no. 3 Definition of disgrace: dis-grace, or turning an altar somewhere in the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion (or most any other part of western Europe) into a tea shop. Additional points may be deposited in the comments box.

  1. And just think if you could only follow that map...

  2. Well, you'd have to find the labyrinth first, wouldn't you?

  3. I want a bookstore in an old Dominican cathedral!

But I have a nice bookstore in a strange old stone building. And three cats and a pitbull, so I am fortunate.

  4. Yes, I imagine that you have your fortune, and it has nothing to do with stone...

  5. There must be some labyrinths hereabouts.
By the way, Marly, go to my blog and read the new story I put up there. It's sort of gross, in the old way I used to have, but it's one I have wanted to write for a long time.

  6. Will do soon... Maybe today, maybe tomorrow. Company and many kid errands in the way, but I'll do it.

  7. Haven't seen you. Posted a new picture of my family (sans Jeremy, unfortunately).

  8. Robbi,

Shall drop by (or just drop) soon. Just back from a two-day camp ferrying trip. Picked one up. Dropped another off.

  10. I had a rude comment as my word verification, commenting on me and my comments, I suppose: nopriz.

  11. I'm always glad to see what you're doing--just that I'm sometimes wildly busy, as now with my husband in the Yukon.

Alas, I must once again remind large numbers of Chinese salesmen and other worldwide peddlers that if they fall into the Gulf of Spam, they will be eaten by roaming Balrogs. The rest of you, lovers of grace, poetry, and horses (nod to Yeats--you do not have to be fond of horses), feel free to leave fascinating missives and curious arguments.
