Alas, I must once again remind large numbers of Chinese salesmen and other worldwide peddlers that if they fall into the Gulf of Spam, they will be eaten by roaming Balrogs. The rest of you, lovers of grace, poetry, and horses (nod to Yeats--you do not have to be fond of horses), feel free to leave fascinating missives and curious arguments.
Damn! I hit "preview" and my comment vanished never to be seen again! That's a villainous magician! Look forward to reading your essay. Come down for a visit next week, madam, and we'll bake a real sour-cherry pie--the cherries on my backyard tree are reddening more each day. And we'll have real Homestead Creamery ice cream to go with it.

Most enticing, Miz Mary Boxley Bullington! But I am afraid that I shall not be flitting through Roanoke until September... Not sure, but think that may be right. However, I may be a bit freer then. Might even do an event.
DeleteWonderful essay! You have been blessed by excellent teachers/mentors.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I think that Louis was mentor to the whole South... a wonderful, generous man.
